Just saw that Marilee passed this year! So sad! Can't believe all the people from High School who have passed! Way too young!  May they all RIP!

While locating classmates in mid August, I called up a Marilee De Filippo Desiderio living at 440 E 79th St., New York, NY 10021 (212-249-1361).  A man answered and I said, "I would like to speak with Marilee to tell her about the reunion".  He replyied that she had died two weeks earlier.  He sounded very distresed, and as you can imagine so was I.  I asked him if he could tell me something about her so that we could post an obituary on our site, but he declined. (There is always some chance that this was a very bad joke and Marilee is alive and well, but I do not think so.)  In a few months I might try to call the number again and get some more information.

I tried to find an obituary for Merilee in the NY papers to no avail. It makes me very sad to see all the old classmates that have passed.

I am so saddened to hear of Merilee's death.  Without a doubt Merilee was one of the sweetest, kindest and cutest girls in our graduating class.  Far too soon. Merilee Rest in Peace.  You will be missed by all of us.

"Merilee De Filippo". . . . a unique name that sounded like it musically rolled off your tongue.  Such a sweet and pretty girl.
