Donna Lee (Palmieri) Casey, 72 of Westerly, Rhode Island passed peacefully on December 17, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was the wife of William Casey who predeceased her in 2009. Donna is survived by her daughter, Cheryl.
Donna was born and raised in Yonkers, New York. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Palmieri. She is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Palmieri and sisters Rosemarie Palmieri and Olga Yuhas. She is survived by her sisters; Connie Marchi of Mechanicsburg, PA, Katherine Goodwin and Diane Partenza (her twin sister) of Westerly, RI and Margaret Pantezzi of Kalama, WA. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Donna and Billy made their homes in Mamaroneck, NY, followed by Ridgefield, CT and eventually Westerly, RI; in each they made lasting friendships. Donna and her husband were members of the Westerly Yacht Club in RI. There she enjoyed boating, playing cards and shuffle board with friends and vacationing on Block Island.
Donna was an accomplished artist. Her artwork consists of pen and ink, watercolor, oil paintings, charcoals, and stained glass. Her artistry was not just on paper but also in her home, through her beautiful home decor and love for gardening. She worked in many establishments throughout her professional career in customer service roles where her attention to detail, care for others and an engaging and sharp wit, always won over her coworkers and customers. Donna was a devoted wife, caring mother and sister. She was loved and admired by all.

My condolences to Donna's family and friends. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing. I remember Donna and her sister Diane as being two of the sweetest girls in school. I don't think I ever saw them without a smile on their faces.

Dear Diane & family, So sorry to hear about Donna's death. Also, being a twin I can imagine the loss.  I always admire Donna for her artistic talent, her beautiful penmanship ,her warmth and always smiling. We did have a lot of fun when we were in PS five (all the sleep over parties) and HS.  Treasure your memories.  May God wrap your fragile heart and love and memories and watch over you at this sad time.  Wishing you strength and peace in the days ahead. Love, Addy MARINUCCI Todd and Doris MARINUCCI Glowski.
