ANNOUNCEMENTS

Terry attended school in Boston. Since I was interested in Boston, we took a trip together our senior year to check out the city. We stayed at a YWCA and her uncle watched over us - took us to dinner and gave us a tour of the city. We stayed in touch our freshman year in Boston - Terry even fixed me up with her boyfriend's room mate who I dated for several months. We actually double dated many times. We lost touch and Terry came back into my life - without her knowing it - when I met my future husband 7 or 8 years later. On our first date, where you got to know each other live, not on the Internet, we did the usual routine: where did you go to school? Boston, well, we both did. He seemed so familiar. Why? Because he was Terry's boyfriend who fixed me up with his room mate! Peter, who when he was dating Terry, was definitely not my type, was now my type! I made many attempts to connect with Terry and It didn't happen until a few years ago on the Roosevelt High School reunion web site. We then connected on Facebook and we were able to catch up. Peter had transitioned, ( I love that phrase) and so did Charlie, his room mate I had dated. I learned of Terry's work with the Red Cross. I loved following Terry on Face Book - to see her compationate life. And to see the Episcopal church was as progressive (I was going to say liberal) as the United Church of Christ. Thank you Judy (Terry's sister) for sharing on Face Book.
