Donald died on February 28, 2013 after a long illness lasting over 20 years.  He graduated from NYU, and then got a Masters Degree in Special Education.  He taught for many years in California and New York, retiring with a disability about 10 years before his death.  Donald lived in Manhattan for about the last 30 years of his life.  Donald never married.
