David died on August 1, 2010 of complications of a spinal staph infection. He was only 62 years old. He is survived by his sisters Barbara and Ina and his niece and three nephews. During his life he had several vocations. David was a talented stylist for book covers and food magazine advertisements. He was also an exceptional cook. He was a caterer and was a private chef for a local Brahman family.
