Meryl Manning Segel

I left the NY area after graduating SUNY and moved to Baltimore, MD where I completed my Masters plus 30 hours beyond in Counseling and Adult Education at Johns Hopkins University.
I taught elementary education in Baltimore for 3 years, then worked at Essex Community College for the next 7 years developing career education curriculum and working between the educational & business world and directing the Career Placement Office.
After running a HEW grant on Career Education and the Job Market at the University of MD. I lived in Las Vegas, NV and Scottsdale, AZ, where I began my real estate career. I moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1986, after being introduced to my husband of almost 28 years, Ron Segel.
Ron and I have had a wonderful life together raising our son, Neil,who currently lives in Houston and works for the Israeli Consulate. Ron is a trial attorney and loves his business, as I do. We both love traveling and have visited the Far East, Middle East, Europe, Central America, South America, Canada and Alaska. We always believe another adventure is awaiting us!
I am a very strong believer in giving back to our community and have been very active in multiple community and national agencies agencies, as well as our United Way of New Mexico.

I started at Roosevelt HS in my senior year, after my mother remarried and we moved to Yonkers from Yorktown Heights. I loved being in a new school after being in the same school system with the same kids since 3rd grade. It was very exciting to meet new friends and especially exciting to be part of Guys & Dolls.
