While a full time professor at City College of NY, CUNY, I also had the position of chief scientist at a company called Anadigics in NJ where I did research with my students. At that company (retired in 2010) I design integrated circuits for cable TV boxes, cell phones, and the electronics used in fiber optic under sea communication cables.
I am now fully retired and spend most of my time taking long walks and bicycle rides.
In June 2024 my wife of 45 years, Dr. Mary E. Witt, M.D. died from multiple sclerosis a disease that she had for the last 17 years of her life. The immediate cause of death was pneumonia. We will miss her.
BEE degree from The Cooper Union. (1966-1970)
MS degree from MIT (1971)
PhD degree from The City College of New York (CCNY/CUNY, 1973-1979)

Happy birthday Ron. I went down south on I-81 and I-40 to Tennessee to see the eclipse so I passed not that far (compared to NJ) from West Virginia. If my friend had another day off from work, we could have gone thru West Virginia and paid you a visit. Perhaps another time. I visited Jeff on Long Island a few weeks ago. Yesterday I put in the paperwork to start my retirement. Next year it will start with me working half time for 2 1/2 years, and then full retirement.
Happy to see you on the website regardless of which Yonkers HS you went to. If you had friends at Roosevelt you might want to join us at our 55th reunion. Just click on everything, especially the tabs on the upper left to see what our reunion was like. If you have a class picture from HS you can post it on your profile, or if you do not know how, send it to me at scheinberg@ccny.cuny.edu and I will post it for you. I am one of the administrators of the site.

We all missed you at the reunion.
When I first contacted an alumnus to tell them about the reunion I would talk to them about RHS. One of the questions I would frequently ask is whether they remembered their biology teacher. If they had to think about it, I knew it would not be you. If they did have you, they would always say, "Of course I remember Miss Delango".
You were everyone's favorite teacher. Be well and come to our next reunion!
